19 weeks 3 days.. Started late so here is a recap.

My name is LeeAnn (24) and my DH is Matt (26). We have two sons already, ages 8 & 4 and are expecting GBB triplets in Sept. 2011. I have wanted to start a blog since we found out about the triplets 14 weeks ago! :) Most of the reason for the delay has been my ALL DAY SICKNESS I have had since the minute I found out I was pregnant. :( I lost 12 lbs. and I had to be hospitalized at 7.2 weeks for 5 days due to dehydration. They diagnosed me with Hyperemesis Gravidum (medical name for PUKING NON-STOP) and I had to be put on a Zofran pump at home. These are little machines that you carry around like a purse and that push the zofran into your body, by syringe and tubing stemmed from a needle stick site in your abdomen. This means for 6 weeks straight I had to poke my stomach with a needle, every other day, to change the site and tubing. The sites get VERY irritated and red and can't be left in more than 2 days. Not pleasant at all! And it didn't help THAT much... but a little was better than nothing when you cant go an hour without getting sick. Anywho, I have been off the pump since about 13 weeks and have felt a LITTLE better, but still not 100% by any means. I can't imagine my life NOT puking at this point... :-P Trying to gain some weight... but at this point I am only up 5 lbs. from my pre-pregnancy weight.

The babies are all doing great and really thriving! They weigh in at 8 oz. a piece at this point and are all perfect in every way as far as we know. They are all fraternal with their own sacs and placentas. This made me feel a little better about the riskiness of the pregnancy, seeing as though I won't have to worry about and twin to twin transfusions or growth problems because of it. We DID have a little scare with our Baby A (girl) at our 17.5 week anatomy scan. The doctor diagnosed her with an Echogenic Bowel (unexplained brightness in her lower intestines) and was forced to scare the crap out of us with all the potential complications this can be caused by... (Down Syndrome, Cystic Fibrosis, ect...) However, he told us it COULD also just be something that would resolve on it's own... It wasn't her entire bowel, just a very small portion, which was a good sign. We opted to wait a week and get another scan to check and see if it was any better, and by the time we went in last Weds, it was completely gone! Thank God!

So, so far so good in the pregnancy department besides all of that! LOL My cervix is long and strong at 3.8 cm... and my next appointment is on Weds with my MFM. I'm nervous about asking about tubal ligation, seeing as though I'm so young, but we are NOT having anymore kids. :) 5 is PLENTY and these trips are ALL my body and mind can handle! LOL Plus we are getting a little girl (finally) so our family will definately be complete!

That's all for now... Hope I can get some lunch to stay down today! <3 Here is a pic of me at 6 and 12 weeks pregnant.... and a few early ultrasound pics too!
